Regular cards
We automatically issue Harvard ID cards to all benefits-eligible employees and to students enrolled in degree programs.

Special photo cards
By special request of faculties, administrative departments and other facilities, we issue special photo ID cards to employees who are not entitled to a staff or officer ID card, consultants, vendors, contractors, library special borrowers and other people whose affiliation with the University does not qualify them for a regular Harvard ID card. These cards are for identification and access purposes only within the area indicated and do not grant access or privileges at University facilities in general.

Special non-photo cards
At the request of program coordinators, we issue special non-photo cards to participants in special short-term academic programs for identification within their program. Unless otherwise indicated, these cards do not grant access or privileges at any University facility.
